Lui was a committed supporter of Wintercomfort's work with the homeless in Cambridge. Most recently, he was involved with organising The SpeakOut Festival, a music event hosted at the Six Bells that raised funds for Wintercomfort.

Lui was a talented musician and all funds donated will be split between Wintercomfort's welfare service providing breakfast to rough sleepers and creative based activities taking place at Wintercomfort.
